Ghost Story

Part I

I won’t survive—

Lashings like knives

This body doesn’t lie;

I feel it tonight

Loose skin ensnared,

For every night I cared

Part II

A ghost stepped into me.

I can’t feel it now (hide and go seek)

Part III

Ghosts, to me:

They suffer so obviously

They hide in basements,

keep universes blatant

I cannot hide so good—

Try as I might, I move.
