Ape Shall Not Drink with Ape

It’s not every weekend,

but it’s starting to happen more often than it used to—He drinks himself to bruises,

drags his fragile heart through the broken shards of the hearts that came before him,

till he finds a rope to pull himself up—pull himself off the ground—and right into this poem.
