Circumference Hymn

Your hair black, shoulder-length, and tied back.

Where laughter once echoed—now, only a distant hum.

My life was once ours, now it’s just mine—a sound I make in the dead of night.

Now my lungs are forbidden to take more breath—instead, embrace the cavity of what’s left.
